I was proud to be presented with The Distinguished Alumni Award This October of 2025 by my alma mater, Central Methodist University. It is with an abundance of gratitude that I accepted the award and was able to reunite with so many of my former instructors fellow students and the current faculty and current students of CMU.

Improv Trickster Sabrina Warrington was cast in her first feature film. Congratulations Sabrina! Sounds like a fun shoot!

BJ Lange never stops giving us reasons to be proud of him. This Improv Trick teacher/performer not only appeared several times last week on General Hospital, but he taught improv for a the SAG-AFTRA Conservatory and will be on the road working with the Air Force Wounded Warriors improv program, which he founded!!!!

And Trick Founder Bill Chott appears in recent Trickster James Balsamo's B Movie Smash Hit comedy Robot Dracula alongside Malcolm McDowell and John Landis.

Hi everyone! We’ve got a little update! All upcoming classes will now be held at our new location: The Art Parlor at 5302 Laurel Canyon Blvd. It’s a vibrant spot known for its Wednesday night Story Salon and a thriving community of artists. I’m excited for us to tap into this creative energy. See you there!

We're still very focused on our Pasadena classes at The Tutu School, and we love our friends in Studio City at It's a Wrap. 

This is such a fun way to step into our 20th Anniversary Summer. We've got some fun plans to celebrate and this location with make it easier for all our dreams to come true.

​In improv, the magic happens when we let go of the pressure to be funny. Ironically, trying to force humor often blocks the real gold—authentic reactions. When you focus on listening, supporting your partner, and responding with genuine emotion, the audience laughs at the truth. When someone tries to be funny, scenes often feel forced or fall flat. I’ve seen scenes that started simple—one person folding a blanket—and the laughter came when we leaned into real reactions. But when someone jumps in trying to crack a joke, the scene’s fragile reality breaks. So, let’s trust the process—when you stop trying to be funny, that’s when the funniest moments happen.
